CargoWise's New AI Agents (2026): ACE, ComplianceWise & More, Explained
Since early 2025, WiseTech Global has been releasing a steady stream of AI-powered agents built directly into CargoWise — not bolt-on chatbots, but features embedded in the modules forwarders already use every day. Here's a plain-English rundown of what's shipped so far, based on WiseTech Global's own public announcements.
Key takeaways
- WiseTech Global has introduced several AI agents into CargoWise since January 2025, with more described as upcoming.
- They cover compliance and classification, document and invoice processing, in-platform expert guidance, and automated information requests.
- Access generally depends on your CargoWise Value Pack entitlement — not every agent is automatically available to every account.
- Turning one on is a configuration task: permissions, workflow mapping and staff training, the same discipline as any CargoWise rollout.
ACE — the AI CargoWise Expert
Launched in November 2025, ACE is an AI assistant built directly into CargoWise that answers "how do I…" questions with step-by-step guidance, without the user leaving their workflow. It draws on tens of thousands of WiseTech Academy materials — how-to guides, FAQs, update notes, and product videos — and uses multi-turn conversation to understand context rather than returning a single canned answer. WiseTech Global frames it as addressing a real problem: CargoWise ships thousands of features a year, and ACE is meant to shorten the gap between "I don't know how to do this" and getting it done.
ComplianceWise
Announced in January 2025, ComplianceWise targets what WiseTech Global calls the "What, Who, and Where" of trade compliance: cargo classification, verifying entities against sanctions lists, and navigating embargoes. It's positioned as a dedicated compliance layer inside CargoWise rather than a general-purpose assistant.
Classification Assistant
The Classification Assistant reached customers in December 2025, focused specifically on import classification. Instead of a blank HS code field, it asks targeted questions about the product, surfaces relevant tariff headings, and recommends the strongest HS code with supporting reasoning — while also presenting alternative codes so the customs team can make the final call rather than accepting a black-box answer.
Document Management Portal
This portal shows the original uploaded document and the AI-extracted data side by side, so operators can review what's been flagged, correct what needs attention, and confirm the rest — with the resulting structured data then available to every CargoWise job downstream, instead of being re-keyed by hand.
Invoice Processing Portal
Announced in July 2026, the Invoice Processing Portal applies the same idea to accounts payable: AI-powered invoice processing with automated reconciliation, built to reduce manual work and connect operations and finance teams around the same invoice data rather than two separate records.
Smart Auto-Request Agent
The Smart Auto-Request Agent is built to take over a specific, labour-intensive task: chasing missing information. It reviews an incoming email and its attached documents, identifies what's missing or illegible, and automatically requests the missing details or clarification from the importer or exporter — returning the completed information to the operator instead of a manual follow-up email chain.
Product Research Agent
WiseTech Global has also referenced a Product Research Agent bringing product research into customs workflows, as part of the same release wave. Public detail on exactly how it works is still limited at the time of writing; we'll update this guide as WiseTech Global publishes more.
Turning these on is still a configuration project
Access to most of these agents depends on your CargoWise Value Pack, and switching one on well means setting permissions correctly, mapping it to how your team actually works, and training staff to use — and verify — its output. That's the same work YadriTrans already does for CargoWise implementation and configuration, applied to these newer AI-powered modules.
